The Grief Recovery Method is a groundbreaking program designed to help you overcome life’s challenges with a Grief Recovery Specialist, certified through the Grief Recovery Institute. After losing my fiancé in 2016, I participated in the Grief Recovery program myself. The impact it had on my life is indescribable, and the responsibility I felt to share it with others is what led me to seek certification as a specialist. If you’ve experienced the loss of a parent, child, spouse, or loved one or trauma of any kind, and you’re ready to begin the healing process, I strongly encourage you to give this method a try. Grief Recovery Method
Recovery from loss is achieved by a series of small and correct choices made by the griever. Using the Grief Recovery Handbook, this program will help you understand and identify the actions you need to take and help you make them.
Participants will meet weekly, one-on-one with Meg Roberts, for 7 weeks and be asked to complete various readings and assignments in order to fully benefit from the program.

What is The Grief Recovery Method?
The Grief Recovery Method was developed by a man named John James, who suffered the loss of an infant son. This tragedy is what inspired James to develop a resource to help people not only cope with but move forward following loss. Like me, most Grief Recovery Specialists have been certified following a significant loss in their own lives.
The Grief Recovery Method is the only evidence-based grief support program in the world and deals with using concrete tools to aid in the recovery process. Though not the same as grief counselling, The Grief Recovery Method is utilized by several therapists with grieving clients.
Unlike other methods, it requires participants to take an active role in their recovery journey and involves digging deep emotionally. The Grief Recovery Method also heavily focuses on overturning the common myths and beliefs that surround grief and the grieving process.
