I am a former Police Officer turned Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), a Certified Life Coach Practitioner and Certified Grief Recovery Specialist. I am a mother, a wife, and a survivor of life’s adversities. Following the earth-shattering personal tragedy of losing my fiancé in a fatal Avalanche accident in 2016, I chose to live. It has become my life’s mission to live life on purpose and to encourage, help, and inspire others to do the same.

Life can be complex, chaotic, and overwhelming. It can leave you feeling exhausted, burnt out, and hopeless. We often feel pressure to have it all together, making us feel very alone in our experiences. We move through life on autopilot, and stress and anxiety become our default feeling. When something happens, like a significant loss or stress and burnout, we must hurry up and return to "normal." I have a special interest in the first responder population and anyone who experiences stress, anxiety, and all variations of grief. You may feel debilitated, hopeless, and alone.

 

It doesn't have to be this way. As someone suddenly widowed at  30 years old and a former police officer, I am intimately aware of how our experiences and views of the world can impact our overall well-being. Healing begins with feeling heard and understood. I aim to provide a safe and non-judgmental space, like a sanctuary, perhaps.

 

You will better understand your thoughts, feelings, emotions, experiences, and ultimately yourself. In this space, whether in person or virtual, you will be encouraged to show up as you are and be met with compassion, care, and respect.   No matter why you are here, thank you for taking the first step towards healing. Individual 18 years of age and over - both in person and virtual. Virtual counselling services are available to anyone in the Province of Alberta. All online sessions are done on a secure platform.

The Grief Recovery Method

The Grief Recovery Method is an incredible program utilized by life coaches, therapists, counsellors, and individuals to help others overcome a significant loss. The program encourages participants to take an active role in their recovery, focusing heavily on digging deep and an education surrounding the signs, symptoms, and consequences of grief. The 7-week one-on-one or 8-week group program will ultimately help to renew your sense of hope and purpose in life.
